Ben Tre

Situated 85 km away westward from Ho Chi Minh City, Ben Tre is like a “coconut kingdom”. In this area, more than two thirds of the residents grow coconuts. It is estimated that more than 200,000 households in Ben Tre grow coconut. So when you come here, either by land, on a bicycle, motorbike, car, or on waterways, on a boat, you can immerse yourself in a dense coconut landscape. Getting on a boat is a good way to explore this area, since you can feel the river and stop at stops along the way, explore the way local people make various kinds of products and handicrafts from coconuts, such as coconut oil.

It is also a land abundant with fruits - there are so many fruit gardens here that you can explore, try fruits, or have lunch amidst greenery.
