KHO MUONG VILLAGE
Located in the heart of Pu Luong nature reserve, Kho Muong valley still retains its peaceful, rustic vibe. This is home to more than 20 households, most of which are Thai ethnic groups.
People here make a living by planting rice, corn, and cassava on terraced fields. Looking from above, the village feels like it is embraced by ribbons of rice fields.
KHO MUONG CAVE
Kho Muong Cave belongs to the cave system of Pu Luong Nature Reserve. The path leading to the cave is a small dirt road, surrounded by jungles. Coming to Kho Muong cave, you will feel like you are stepping to a remote land, forgotten by people. Kho Muong Cave is also named Bat cave, as it is home of hundreds of bats - the cave is quiet and humid - an ideal living place for bats, as well as many rare types of birds.
Bat cave is a karst cave, formed millions of years ago. There are still many stalactites and stalagmites in odd shapes, setting itself apart from the rest of Pu Luong.
CHAM STREAM
Cham stream is a lovely stream next to lovely villages. When you come here, you can enjoy the tranquility of the stream, or experience bamboo rafting - an activity that lets you trail along the trail of the stream and stay in touch with the coolness of the stream, the rice fields, and surrounding mountains.
BAN HIEU WATERFALL
Hieu waterfall is one of 5 waterfalls you can explore on the way to Hieu village. It is also the most popular, thanks to its crystal clear water, in jade color. The path to Hieu village is dotted with a wooden bridge, cascading waterfall, and peaceful canopies of the surrounding forest.
At the foot of the waterfall is a refreshing natural pool where you can swim in and totally relax.
WATER WHEELS
Lying next to beautiful streams, waterwheels are a signature image when you come to Pu Luong. Before the irrigation system in Pu Luong was formed, water wheels were the tools to circulate water from streams deep in jungles to provide for villages.
Coming here, listening to the flows of water, the flows of water wheels, and the colorful presence of local people and children here, something deeply calm in you will be evoked.
